How are the cards generated?

The card generation process ensures variety and balance, combining predefined attributes and random elements to create unique cards. Here's a simplified breakdown of how the cards are generated:

Base Attributes : Each card begins with basic attributes such as race, class, and characteristics, all chosen randomly from predefined lists. These attributes give each card its unique identity and description. Races include various types such as "Elf", "Orc", and the special "Abnormality" race, which represents unique and distorted creatures. For example, a card could be a "Fierce Elf Warrior", a "Mystical Orc Shaman", or a "Chaotic Abnormality Beast".

Random Stats : The card is then assigned random attack and defense values. For classic cards, these stats usually range from 3 to 7. These stats determine how strong the card is in combat.

Bonus Assignment : Special bonuses are randomly applied to each card. Bonuses could enhance attack, defense, or other abilities. These are selected from a predefined set of possible bonuses and can include things like "Divine Shield" or "Back to Life", which provide strategic advantages during gameplay. See all bonuses.

Level Progression and Rarity : Each time a card is generated, it has a 2 in 3 chance of remaining at its current level and a 1 in 3 chance of leveling up. As the card levels up, its rarity increases. The rarity levels, along with the probabilities for reaching each, are as follows:

These probabilities reflect how difficult it is to reach the higher rarities. As the card progresses, it becomes more powerful but also more challenging to level up to the highest rarity tiers.

Image Generation : Each card has a unique image that is generated using Stable Diffusion. The image reflects the card’s race, characteristics, and all its unique attributes, ensuring that no two cards look the same. This makes every card visually distinct.

Unique Name Generation : Cards with Uncommon rarity (level 2) or higher are assigned a unique name generated based on their characteristics. This name adds further uniqueness and identity to high-level cards, enhancing their significance in gameplay.

Catalyst System : Players can now combine five cards of the same level in a Catalyst to generate a new, more powerful card or a card with special characteristics. Here's how it works: Players must select five cards of the same level from their collection. Cards of different levels cannot be added to the Catalyst. A new card is generated based on the combined cards. The resulting card will typically have a higher level, though there is a chance to generate a special card with unique properties (e.g., "Abnormality"). The probability of generating an "Abnormality" card is calculated as **20% divided by the level** of the combined cards. This means higher-level cards have a lower chance of resulting in an Abnormality. The system adds strategic depth, as players must decide whether to sacrifice multiple cards to potentially gain a powerful one.
